Somali authorities have been forced to turn the port of Mogadishu into the primary exit point for the country's livestock exports. Traditionally, animals would be exported through the northern port of Bosaso but authorities fear the animals may not survive the long journey through the drought scorched northern region. At the moment, livestock exports are the country's main foreign exchange earner. Abdulaziz Billow reports from the Port of Mogadishu.

Authorities in Somalia say through public support - they have foiled s series of attacks including deadly Al-Shabaab attacks against Mogadishu hotels and restaurants. Alhamdulilaah I was lucky enough to go on holiday with my family to Somalia this year. It was so lovely to be back home, and to see my family and friends I haven't seen in over a decade!! I really hope you guys enjoyed this video, and seeing how Mogadishu is rising! We still have a long way to go, but the progress is undeniable.
